Generations were born dreaming of it, nations have risen & fallen aiming for it, and we will be FIRST in the world to own it! What is it you may ask?
The CISV house has been always a dream for most of us. Mainly because of its convenience, and the inconvenience of looking for a place to rent, then face many problems during our stay and lastly getting to deal with the bill. The house was put in the category as an item if CISV-Egypt has it will be our second most important asset after our volunteers. It is believed that the house will have an enormous positive impact on our educational activities and benefiting the CISV community. It will transform organizing a mini-camp a combination of a logistical problem we need to manage plus working on the educational content, to a phone call plus our educational content. In addition to having our educational site tailored according to our educational activities.
The CISV house will be designed to stick to the CISV values, with being as environmental friendly and practical as possible. The house will have multiple purposes, whether for camps, mini-camps, trainings, events or just a movie night. For this reason it will be designed to accommodate all these purposes.
Currently Eng Yasser Quessny is kind enough to design our dream house, which is designed to be a pilot project in Environmental Sustainability. First Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) complaint project in Egypt. Inspite of limited scale, we chose to set a benchmark for Design and Energy problem-solving paradigms. CISV by definition is a free-spirited organization with boundary-less mind set(s). Environmental and ecological issues are by default, the logical extension for children caring priority list. Finding smart environmental solutions, and systems, for now-a-days building’s complexity context was of paramount importance.
